About this course
This course shows the ease with which SUSE Multi-Linux Manager can be used to transition CentOS or RHEL Servers to the equivalent version of SUSE Multi-Linux Support. This course describes the prerequisites that need to be met prior to transitioning servers and then teaches how to configure SUSE Multi-Linux Manager in a step-by-step fashion and trigger the transition process.
Audience profile
- System Administrators of Red Hat Enterprise Linux or clone distros (versions 7, 8, or 9)
- System Architects needing to leverage a systems management tool to convert to a fully vendor supported OS platform
- SUSE Partners using SUSE Manager to transition to SUSE LIberty Linux for their clients

- The system management capabilities of SUSE Manager
- The he architecture of SUSE Manager that provides these management capabilities

- The two main methods for registering target servers and why one method might be used over the other
- The step-by-step process of how to trigger the registration and transition process using the SUSE Manager Web UI Management Console

Prerequisites
Attendees should have:
- Experience working with RHEL, CentOS, or other clone servers
- Experience working with browser-based management consoles
- No prior SUSE Manager experience is required to understand how SUSE Manager can facilitate the transition to SUSE Liberty Linux
