Prerequisites
To qualify for AAIA, candidates must either hold a CISA certification or one of the following designations with an IT audit or IT advisory role focus: CIA, US CPA, ACCA or FCCA, Canadian CPA, Australian CPA or FCPA or the Japanese CPA designation.
All holders qualify:
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA)
Holders with an IT audit or IT advisory role focus:
- CIA (Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA))
- US CPA (Certified Public Accountant from one of the US state boards of accountancy)
- ACCA (Chartered Certified Accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA))
- FCCA (Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA)
- Canadian CPA (Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant from one of the Canadian provincial or regional accounting bodies)
- Australian CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia)
- Australian FCPA (Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia)
- Japanese CPA (Certified Public Accountant from the Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) and Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA))
